The Purdue Extension Master Gardener (EMG) Program will hold a statewide virtual Extension Master Gardener Basic Training on  Tuesdays, February 3 through May 5, 2026, from 5:30-7:30 PM CT via live webinars. Final exam given after May 5 .  There will also be a weekly local connection hour with your county’s Extension Master Gardener coordinator. Porter County will be hosting their IN-PERSON local connection on Thursdays from 5:30pm to 6:30pm in Wanatah, IN at Pinney Purdue A

With great sadness, PCMGA announces the passing of Gold Master Gardener member Mary Simon. Mary became a member of PCMGA in 2004. She was the second person to chair the Gardening Show. Mary loved grass gardens, and she offered her garden one year as a PCMGA Garden Walk host. She maintained a gardening email list known as the "mudpuppy" list. After several years as Gardening Show chairperson, she continued as the Show vendor coordinator. Mary attended many events in order to
